This is an easy pattern that's suitable for someone who can cast on and off, knit and purl.
The snood uses one ball of King Cole Safari but doesn't use all of it so the pattern also includes instructions to make it as a scarf instead. You'll also need a pair of 6mm knitting needles.
Safari is a standard chunky so you can use any other chunky, you'll need about 100g for the snood or more if you want to make a scarf.
