Fluffy, sparkly, light and warm. Is there anything else you need in a yarn? Ummmm this one is hand-wash only!  I've had to move it out of my shop to make space for the A/W 2025 new season stuff.

It has an interesting structure -  the thread intentionally has a more "airy" construction to make a light, open tube. The mix of wool and technical fibres is then blown inside the tube, with some of them "escaping" between the spaces in the tube. This gives the characteristic mohair effect. You can't actually see a tube, it just looks like a fuzzy yarn.

45% acrylic, 19 wool, 14% polyamide and 9% metallised fibre, each 50g ball has a really good metreage of 175m - it goes a long way. Suggested needle size is 4.5mm to a tension of 21sts x 28 rows = 10cm so it's about a DK (I've seen it used as a DK and it works just fine) or worsted, but..... it also knits up well on 6mm to make an airy chunky or even 10mm as in the Kleinia dress pattern! Beautiful Claire in the red is wearing a top that was knitted to standard DK tension on 4mm needles. A very versatile as well as very attractive yarn. As ever though, do check your tension.

Please note: This yarn is NOT available in Pins & Needles in Snuff Street but when ordering you MAY arrange to pick it up from the shop to save on postage.
