This has had to come out of my shop in Devizes to make room for new stuff. It's a lovely yarn - this is what Rico say about it:
"Each ball of the high-quality Creative Alpaca Dégradé Lucky 8 alpaca blend yarn contains eight colours which, when knitted together, produce super beautiful colour gradients with a great alpaca fleece. The colours range from light and pastel to bright colour combinations. There are instructions for a triangular shawl on the back of the sleeve.
Composition: 50% polyacrylic, 25% alpaca, 25% wool
- Yarn length: 800 m, 200 g
- Needle size: 4.0 mm
- Stitch gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm
- Consumption: triangular shawl = approx. 200 g
- Care: 30°C gentle wash"
I've made a short-sleeve top-down jumper from just one ball, in fact I've made two - one knitted and one crocheted, about a size 14-16. So it goes a long way. As well as DK patterns it would work for sportweight, subject of course to checking your tension.
Please note this is not available to buy in my shop Pins & Needles in Devizes but you MAY order it here and arrange to collect it from the shop to save on postage.
I don't have all of the colours shown here but at least the images give you some idea of how it works up.
It seems to retailing at around £20-£25 at the moment, from memory it was about that when it was in the shop a few years ago, it's been in storage and while and now I need it gone so you get it at a tremendous bargain of £15 per cake.
