I've had a sort out in the Snuff Street shop and no longer have space to keep this on the shelves - these big balls tend to come to me in packs of three but most adult jumpers use two, so I usually get one left over that I just don't have room to store in the shop. There's plenty on the ball for a child's jumper or of course most accessories (great for charity hat knitting, you'd probably get four adult hats) including cushion covers and to go with other colours in a stripy blanket.
This yarn is a standard Aran thickness, suggested needles 5mm, you could use this for just about any Aran pattern subject of course to checking your tension.
Each ball is approximately 800m of 68% acrylic, 30% wool, 2% viscose (the colourways with neps) or 70% acrylic/30% wool for plain (non-nep) colours.
