Inspired by some of the colours in an oil slick that you sometimes see on the road after rain - yuck, slippy 'orrible stuff it is too, not like this yarn which is a lovely blend of upcycled* merino and nylon in the standard sock yarn blend of 75% merino/25% nylon.
Each 100g skein contains approximately 400m of 4ply yarn that will work to a standard 4ply tension but always remember to check your tension please! It's fantastic for socks but also absolutely lovely for any 4ply project - shawls, hats, tops etc and soft enough for children and babies to wear.
No two skeins of hand-dyed are alike so if your project needs more than 100g, you might wish to alternate the skeins, working a couple of rows in one then a couple of rows in the other.
