A soft, pure wool chunky.
As per most Rowan yarns, it's not cited as a standard tension; the ball bands call for 7mm needles (rather than 6mm) and a tension over knitted stocking stitch of 13sts/16 rows = 10cm. So whilst you can substitute it for other chunky yarns, be sure to check your tension.
Each 100g ball contains approximately 100m of pure wool (breed unknown, made in Peru).
I had this in my shop Pins & Needles in Devizes for £9.50 a ball (I did have it at a fiver a ball in a one-day-only sale), Rowan sell it direct for £9.95, so this is a great special offer at £7.50 each.
