Clarissa, inspired by a record-breaking carp.
This is easy lace, great for a new knitter looking to extend their skills or a experienced knitter wanting something luxurious but not challenging. You need to be able to cast on and off, knit, purl, slip two stitches together and pass slipped stitches over.
The kit contains the pattern and a ball of Sirdar Shawlie (yes, you only need one ball). Shawlie is a soft and slightly fluffy blend of 80% acrylic, 10% wool and 10% alpaca. It can be machine-washed at 30 degrees.
You will also need a pair of 6mm knitting needles - bamboo, wood or plastic is recommended as the yarn is quite slippery. We have four different colourways available; our sample is shown made up in "Crysanthemum," which has sold out and sadly has been discontinued.
Clarissa can be worn in several ways - wrapped around and snuggled into, long and open, across your shoulders with a shawl pin, whichever way you like! We have lots of shawl pins for sale, have a browse.
