Vixter tells us that this bag was inspired by a retired engineer friend - he took up crochet after watching two ladies on the bus. He was so enraptured by the rhythmical actions that they invited him to join in. One impromptu lesson and he’s never looked back!
It is ever so easily adapated to make a little bit bigger or a little bit smaller. The jar covers are mini versions of the bag!
You will also need:
Plain version - 1 x King Cole Big Value Chunky, 4.5mm hook.
Dalek version (the one with the big chunky bobbles) - 3 x King Cole Big Value Super Chunky, 1 x King Cole Orbit Super Chunky. 8mm hook.
Jar covers - 1 x 100g (uses about 30g) King Cole Cottonsoft in white, small amounts (less than 10g each) of Cottonsoft in contrast colours. 3mm hook.
You can of course use other yarns of the same thicknesses.
The plain bag is very easy, all of the designs only use simple stitches and full instructions are given to work the bobbles.
