There are some glorious chunky yarns available and Vixter simply wanted to see if one ball was enough to make a cabled bobble hat. She was inspired by snowboarder style - big, eyecatching, chunky texture. And here we have it!
Any chunky yarn works but you need about 160m if you want to make a matching bobble. If you attach a fake-fur bobble (like the white one in the photo), 130m is enough.
You will need a 100g ball of chunky yarn. You will also need a pair of 6mm knitting needles, a cable needle and if wished, a fake fur pompom.
This is a fairly easy design but it does include cables - they are not complicated though and full instructions are given.
We can post out a printed copy of the pattern as a small letter but if you'd prefer (for instance if you'd like to save paper or want it sooner), we can e-mail you a copy - click "local delivery" and say you'd like it e-mailed to you.
