A gorgeous yarn that combines soft cotton, twisted with nylon in varying spirals, to give a multi-coloured effect that's irridescent.
This yarn works best as a sportweight, so a bit thinner than DK but not as thin as 4ply. The suggested needle/hook sizes are 3.5-4mm to give a tension of 22sts x 32 rows = 10cm over knitted stocking stitch (about a DK). This tension gives a lightweight fabric that is perfect for summer tops. It would also work up into a lovely drapy shawl or long-sleeved jumper. It's ever so pretty when crocheted.
Buy five balls or more and I'll throw in a couple of complimentary knitting patterns, one by Lang and one by yours truly. The Lang one takes from six balls but if you miss off the sleeves (just work a narrow border around the armholes instead), you can get it out of five balls.
Each 50g ball contains approximately 140m of 88% cotton/12% nylon. Machine washable at 30 degrees.
This yarn is new old stock from my shop Pins & Needles in Devizes; it's not available there but you can arrange to collect it from Pins to save you the postage.
